Bears and Kyle Monangai Help Grow Girls Flag Football in Rockford

The Chicago Bears continued their investment in girls flag football with a Monsters Flag Football clinic in Rockford, Illinois. The event brought together 175 girls ages 10–18 for skill development, drills, and mentorship. Participants worked on flag-pulling, route-running, catching, agility, and hand-eye coordination. The clinic also featured Bears running back Kyle Monangai and Team USA women’s flag football cornerback Laneah Bryan. Their presence gave young athletes a chance to learn from football leaders who represent both the tackle and flag sides of the game. Rockford has become an important part of the Illinois girls flag football story. The area was involved early in the sport’s growth and continues to build opportunities through youth, middle school, high school, and college-level participation.
