NORTHVILLE 53, SALINE 0 Lili Vettraino, Northville: Had arguably the most dominant defensive performance in metro Detroit, recording two sacks, four tackles for loss and six QB hurries, including one that led to Jenna Chrzanowski returning an interception for a score as time expired in the first half. Vettraino and Chrzanowski, who also had three QB hurries, form an athletic tandem of rushers that should help the Mustangs contend for the All Grit League title against Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard in Week 4. ANN ARBOR FATHER GABRIEL RICHARD 8, P-CEP PROWLERS 6 Eileena Chinyadza, P-CEP: After the Prowlers allowed a pick-six to open the game, Chinyadza answered by racing the length of the field for a TD that tied the score at 6. Ranked the No. 1 2028 futbol recruit in Michigan by PrepSoccer.com, she showed her speed out of the backfield, finishing with seven carries for 118 yards and adding one catch for 6 yards. BLOOMFIELD HILLS 14, UTICA FORD 6 Julia Finkelstein, Bloomfield Hills: After catching six passes for 70 yards, including the game’s first TD on a 1-yard grab and a one-point conversion reception in the second half, it’s safe to say Finkelstein is at least the second-best tight end in metro Detroit behind only Brighton’s Kendall Dekeyser and just ahead of Birmingham Groves’ Ella Kecskemeti. Her height gives QB Eva Kontos an unfair target in first-down situations. WAYNE MEMORIAL 18, ROMULUS 0 Capri Easley, Wayne Memorial: The Zebras have allowed only 12 points through three weeks, including their second shutout of the season against Romulus in Week 3. A big reason why the defense has been so dominant is Easley, who finished with a staggering 10 flag pulls and five sacks against the Eagles. DETROIT UPREP 12, WESTLAND JOHN GLENN 6 Bayley Wisely, Westland John Glenn: Once again, the soccer standout stole the show, using her athleticism to rush three times for 74 yards and the Rockets’ lone TD in their regular-season finale. CLAWSON 24, AUBURN HILLS OAKLAND CHRISTIAN 6 Lily Buchler, Clawson: The sophomore delivered one of the weekend’s best all-around performances, making plays in every phase. She rushed for 71 yards, caught seven passes for 117 yards and a TD, recorded 11 flag pulls with two for loss and intercepted two passes. She’s a big reason why the Trojans can clinch the All Us League title in Week 4 against Madison Heights Bishop Foley.
